Hi’iaka, Healer of the Land

Hi’iaka is the gentle and innocent sister of Pele.  She is goddess of wind, forest, and healing plants. The model for this painting is Malia Locey, granddaughter of Kauai’s beloved healer Auntie Angeline. She carries the graceful and courageous Hi’iaka energy.
