Makua Mermaids

Two mermaids are sighted in the shallows of Makua. One is about to enter adolescence, and the other has just passed through it. A very sacred and vulnerable moment. This is a favorite painting of mine because it captures the essence of this delicate and wild portal in life, and the likenesses of my beautiful daughters, who allowed me to paint them.
